LAST HIKE - June 24

 

Forty WoWWs were hosted by Jennifer Prinz and her visiting sister, Anne.  We walked along the Red Cedar River on a beautiful day followed by a wonderful lunch at Adventures Restaurant & Pub.  Attendees were treated to a fashion show of the new WoWW-wear now available through the online store.  It was a bittersweet day given the recent loss of Jennifer's husband, Arthur Bergren.  Thanks to Jennifer & Anne for hosting and to all the WoWWs who stepped up and brought treats.​​​​

 Location: Barn Chick Barntique, W5556 WI-70, Spooner, a delightful old barn where the owner, Margie, sells refurbished and craft items.

Hike: There will be a choice of two hikes, either on paths mowed through the 11 acres on the property, or on the county road for a flatter surface.

Bathrooms: Portapotties

Lunch: Margie will be offering lunch including quiche, chilled cucumber soup, salad and a variety of sourdough breads.  Lemonade and coffee will be available with the lunch.  $18 includes everything.​  Please note in Signup comments if you'll be staying for lunch.

Parking: Parking is available 

Directions: 
From Hayward:  Take Hwy 27 south 11 miles, then turn right on WI-70 and continue 17 miles.

From Stone Lake: 14.6 miles west on WI-70. 

From Spooner: 3.5 miles east on WI-70

Kayaking:  At Potato Lake about 8 miles east of Barn Chick on WI-70 -- Please indicate in Signup comments if you plan to kayak.
